Got Mochi as a gift from our techie Silicon Valley relative and were a little skeptical about its attractiveness for our 2 yo. We were proven wrong: my daughter was super-excited to play with the cuddly bear and listen to a story about his adventures. She was helping me place the coding blocks into the programming board, pushing the Please Go button and tracing the turns of Mochi’s car with her finger multiple times without tiring or getting bored. The sound feedback saying what command is being executed was really helpful. After a few runs, she confidently repeated all the steps. My wife and I were very impressed. I think the toy actually delivers on its promise to introduce young kids to programming. If you seriously care about developing your child’s thinking, this may be something to look into.
